One sentence in this article sums up past, present, and (unfortunately) future: “drumbeat is loud enough.”

Most people don’t have enough time to listen to good music, let alone create their own music. So they listen to whatever seems to be popular and easily digestible, sorely attempting to educate themselves even a bit.

Bad people realize this and build up industries to create more and more bad music that is easily digestible, both temporally and intestinally. Sadly this music is only made to seem as if it has beneficial nutritional value; but it does not.

This applies to all opinions. When it comes to music nobody really seems to care except for true audiophiles and honestly it’s not a big deal. Unfortunately, when it comes to political opinions that affect millions of people and can quickly turn into fanaticism which can lead to hatred - thus hate crimes - we find ourselves surrounded by increasingly dangerous people.
