Here is a guy that was homeless at the age of 17 for two and a half years on the streets of Detroit. He had dropped out of high school after his mom kicked him out of the house. So what did he do? He woke up one day after being on the street, straightened himself out, and got his GED. From there, he made it his goal to complete college. Nobody in his family had ever done that before. Not only did he complete college, but he is now working on his PhD in educational studies.
