Hi, I’m Tyler.

I’m 24, a Sagittarius, and an avid sand volleyball player.

I’m also an emerging freelance web & interface designer living in San Francisco, CA. More on that at Made by Tyler.

“People and progress”?

News is everywhere. Who has time to filter it all? Not me, and probably not you.

The Tyler Hayes is dedicated to reporting solely on “People and progress.” Only a few posts/day, if even, sprinkled with well-thought-out articles every now and then. Always worthwhile. Never not.

Server Software

This website is hosted on a Media Temple (gs) Grid-Service.

Articles and pages are powered by WordPress. More than a few plug-ins are used and abused; some custom, some not.

Analytics are tracked with Google Analytics and ClickTale.

Scripting and Programming

Additional trickery is brought to you via the magic of PHP, MySQL, and a bit of JavaScript.

Web Standards and Accessibility

This site’s markup should validate as HTML5. Likewise, the CSS. The feed is valid RSS, and will convert on-the-fly to Atom. Accessibility is equally important. Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can use the Web. Standards and accessibility are implemented where possible and logical. Why? They are flexible, fluid topics, and people are always changing. I can’t always keep up-to-date, and encourage feedback. If something seems wrong or inaccessible, email me.
